A Welcome from Rabbi Laurence A. Sebert and our President, Helena Ross

Shalom!

We are delighted to welcome you to Town & Village Synagogue, where we take great pride in being especially welcoming to newcomers. But don’t take our word for it, come on in and experience it for yourself.

Town and Village, is a diverse community that offers numerous paths towards religious and spiritual fulfillment. Our approach to Judaism is egalitarian and open --- welcoming all including partners of other religious traditions and same-sex couple. At the same time, we are traditional and committed to the ideals of Conservative Judaism.

More than that, what T&V offers is community: a sense of family and belonging that is invaluable and enriching. It is here, with our extended “family,” that we celebrate our joys together and comfort each other in difficult times.

Membership in T & V includes, among other things:

§         High Holiday Tickets in the Sanctuary (not included in Out-of-Town Membership)

§      Access to and support from our clergy for counsel, life cycle events and other needs

§      Shabbat Services, Holiday Services and the only Egalitarian Morning Minyun in Downtown New York

§      A regular offering of adult classes, support groups and cultural program

§      Educational and youth activities for children (our Hebrew School has additional fees)

§      Regular communications and commentary on events at T & V and beyond

§      A vibrant and active community for the very old, the very young and all ages in between

§      Membership privileges, activities and pricing not available to non-members

§      Voting rights on synagogue matters if you are both Jewish and over 21 years of age

We attempt to make T&V membership accessible to all who wish to join. We offer a variety of membership options and payment plans, and special arrangements can be made for individuals or households who may need financial assistance, simply by contacting Lew Freedman in our Dues Setting Circle at 917 859 0083

We invite you to join our family and look forward to a long and meaningful relationship. And if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to call us.

Welcome.
