ASL-interpreted Yom HaShoah Commemoration

ASLWe're thrilled to announce that, for the tenth year in a row, we'll be providing ASL interpretation for the annual Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) Commemoration being presented by Downtown Jewish Life, a collection of Synagogues in Lower Manhattan that includes us at Town & Village (T&V, www.tandv.org).

WHAT: The ceremony will include remarks from Rabbis from several area Synagogues, along with songs from the Cantors and Chorus of Downtown Jewish Life, a Projection of Names of Loved Ones We Remember and Memorial Prayers.  Also, Survivor Johanna Reiss will speak about her experiences.
WHEN: 7:00 PM -- 9:00 PM on Wednesday, May 1st
WHERE: Manny Cantor Center at the Educational Alliance, 197 East Broadway in Manhattan (near the "F" train), NOT at T&V
WHO: Organized by Downtown Jewish Life; Interpreters are Jane Adler & Samantha Kuperberg, whose work will be underwritten thanks to UJA-Federation of New York's Jewish Community Deaf Interpreter Fund.
