At Town & Village Synagogue, we are committed to lifelong Jewish learning. Our goal is to provide all students this foundation in childhood. In order to become Bat/Bar Mitzvah at T&V, we expect that students will participate in a meaningful Jewish educational program. This includes twice a week attendance in 2nd through 7th grade, as well as going to Shabbat services according to the requirement for the grade level. If you have any questions or would like clarification about our policy, please be in touch with Leslie and Shelli at families@tandv.org.
I hereby consent to the participation in interviews, the use of quotes, and the taking of photographs, movies or videos of my child(ren). The work of raising and educating Jewish children cannot be done in the school alone, but is a project of the school, the family and the community. You are not just registering your child(ren) for school, but in fact your entire family. When you join the Youth & Family community, and spend time learning and volunteering with us, you make a powerful statement to your children that Jewish learning is a lifelong process and that we are all on the same team in creating these experiences for them. Families are asked to attend special programming with their students, which helps to build the home-synagogue connection. In addition to opportunities to participate as a family, we are in need of regular volunteers to make our school work. Would you consider supporting our school in an ongoing role or a limited engagement?
There are many impediments to Jewish education, but finances should never be one! On the payment page, families have the option to Pay Now, Pay Later, or Pay In Installments. Up to ten (10) payment installments can be made. We ask that every family commits to some financial contribution, however we are very happy to discuss financial aid options for any family who needs it. If you select yes to the question below, the executive director will be in contact for a confidential conversation. For families who choose this option, please click Pay Now, and Bill Me Later. You will not be obligated to pay the full tuition amount.
In Jewish tradition, it is the job not only of parents but of the community to provide education for children. The Town & Village Synagogue community is committed to this obligation. As such, our Hebrew School fee only covers a portion of the cost of our Hebrew School. Fundraising efforts, and congregational dues heavily subsidize our children’s education. We are best able to plan appropriately when we know as early as possible how many students to expect in each grade.
