In consideration of my child(ren)'s acceptance as a Hebrew School student, I hereby waive any and all claims against Town & Village Synagogue, its agents and its employees that may arise out of any injury, loss or damage suffered by my child(ren) during any Hebrew School activity. I hereby authorize the Director of Youth & Family, or person designated by the Director of Youth & Family, to obtain emergency medical care for my child(ren) in the event such care is indicated. I give my permission for my child(ren) to receive emergency medical care by any nurse, doctor, paramedic or member of a medical staff of a hospital licensed by the State of New York. I understand that every effort will be made to notify a parent/guardian prior to treatment.

I certify that my child(ren) is(are) in good physical health. They have my permission to participate in all activities that are part of the regular Hebrew School program. By typing my name, I confirm I have read, understand and agree to the above.
Learning Commitment

At Town & Village Synagogue, we are committed to lifelong Jewish learning and aim to provide all students this foundation in childhood. In order to become Bat/Bar Mitzvah at T&V, we expect that students in 3rd through 7th grades will attend a meaningful Jewish educational program in order to achieve this goal by attending T&V Hebrew School twice a week through 7th grade and attend services according to the requirement for the grade level.  If you have any issue or concern about this, please be in touch with Rabbi Gold to discuss.

By typing my name, I confirm I have read, understand and agree to the above.
Consent to Photograph, Film or Videotape / Media Release

I hereby consent to the participation in interviews, the use of quotes, and the taking of photographs, movies or videos of my child(ren). I also grant the right to edit, use, and reuse said products for nonprofit purposes including use in print, on the internet, and all other forms of media. I also hereby release Town & Village Synagogue and its agents and employees from all claims, demands, and liabilities whatsoever in connection with the above.

Town & Village Synagogue will adhere to the following limitations on the rights granted to it:

  • The names of children under the age of 18 will not be published at any time, except with the parent's prior permission.
  • Requests by adults that photographs of themselves or their minor children be removed from the T&V website or other public online sites will be honored.
By typing my name, I confirm I have read, understand and agree to the above.
Section D: Congregation Community

The work of raising and educating Jewish children cannot be done in the school alone, but is a project of the school, the family and the community. You are not just registering your child(ren) for school today, but in fact your entire family.   When you come in the building and spend time learning and volunteering with us, you make a powerful statement to your children that Jewish learning is a lifelong process and that we are all on the same team in creating these experiences for them.

We have three days during the course of the year (see calendar for dates) on which parents are asked to attend with students (opening day brunch, and two Youth and Family Shabbatot). Please plan to join us on these days.

In addition to those opportunities to participate we are in need of regular volunteers to make our school work.  Would you consider supporting our school in an ongoing role or a limited engagement?

Section E: Payment Information

In Jewish tradition, it is the job not only of parents but of the community to provide education for children. The Town & Village Synagogue community is committed to this obligation.  As such, our Hebrew School fee only covers a portion of the cost of our Hebrew School.  Both fundraising efforts like the Purim Carnival and congregational dues heavily subsidize our children’s education.  We are best able to plan appropriately when we know early on how many students to expect in each grade.

  • Refund Policy: A full refund (less $300) will be given prior to October 15. No refunds will be given afterward.
  • Multi-Child Discount: If your family is enrolling more than one child, you may deduct $200 per family.
  • Early-Bird Discount: As an incentive for you to register early, we offer a discount to families who register online or by mail postmarked on or before Monday, July 15th. There is a $200 early-bird discount per family.
    • Regular fees go into effect on July 16th.
  • Late Fee: A $50 late fee (per family) will be applied for registrations later than September 1st.
