ASL-interpreted "In-Person Outdoor Shofar-Blowing"

We're thrilled to announce that sign language (ASL) interpretation will be provided on Rosh Hashanah for an opportunity to experience a public outdoor blowing of the Shofar, and hope that you can join us!

WHAT: An in-person outdoor Shofar-blowing on Rosh Hashanah's 1st Day
WHEN: 4:00 PM -- 4:30 PM on Tuesday, September 7th
WHERE: Stuyvesant Town's Playground #3, just south of 610 East 20th Street, near Avenue C, in Manhattan (, after which we'll walk to the nearby East River for Tashlich, the ceremonial casting of our sins (as small pieces of bread) upon the water
WHO: Bram Weiser, whose work will be underwritten thanks to UJA-Federation of New York's Jewish Community Deaf Interpreter Fund

*** Please note: Mask-wearing and social distancing rules will be observed, so please remember to wear yours and stay at least six (6) feet from other people who'll be joining us.  Also, unfortunately, we won't be able to actually touch the blowing Shofar this time for the same reason.  Sorry about that. ***
