Teen Programming at T&V
MADRIḤIM (counselor) Program
This program offers high school students the opportunity to gain skills as assistant teachers in our Hebrew School program throughout the year.  This hands-on experience working with kids in an educational setting will help them gain valuable skills to use in the future, and allow them to function as role models to students in our community.
Community service hours are awarded for participating or, you can elect to receive a stipend.
In addition to helping out in classes, Madriḥim will be asked to attend several training sessions throughout the year. In these sessions, we will explore leadership skills, teaching techniques, and the importance of being a role model for younger students.

Mitzvah Days
Join T&V Teens in making a difference!
Each year, the teens select several projects to take part in such as volunteering at community events, T&V annual Thanks for Giving Toiletry Drive and care packages for Victims of Violence, MLK Day of Service and various environment causes.  In the past teens have visited soup kitchens, senior centers, and shelters. As part of these programs, we will explore and discuss the concepts of Tikkun Olam and our role as Jews towards others and the world. Community service credit will be given.
Monthly Programs
Call it Kadima, USY, or just plain T&V teens, our teens like to get together and have fun. We usually meet at least once a month.
Our Teen Coordinator: Meet Landon
Landon is a musical theatre composer and songleader from Vancouver, Canada now based in Brooklyn. He is the founder of Build Your Own Jewish Musical, an interactive program for overnight and day camps that allows kids to experience the joy of creating their own original musical from the ground up. When not teaching all across NYC, Landon is developing his own musicals and performing with his band RELATION. He has worked behind the scenes on Broadway and had his work performed at venues like Lincoln Center and 54 Below. He holds a Masters Degree in Musical Theatre Composition from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, as well as a B.A. (Drama) and B.Mus (Voice) from Mount Allison University in Canada. After moving to NYC, Landon attended various T&V 20s and 30s Shabbat dinners where he met many of his first friends and built his Jewish community in the city. He is beyond thrilled to officially join the staff and help build our community even stronger!
